About

The maiden Ghana Data Science Summit 2019, dubbed IndabaX Ghana, is organized in partnership with the Deep Learning Indaba. IndabaX Ghana 2019 will take place at the Kofi Annan Center of Excellence in ICT from Thursday, April 25, 2019, through Saturday, April 27, 2019.

The aim of the Ghana Data Science Summit 2019 is to bring increased awareness and capacity building efforts in data science and analytics (including data mining, machine learning, and artificial intelligence) to Ghana. Although Ghana is often touted as the gateway to Africa, Google’s announcement of its first African AI Research Center in Accra in Summer 2018 sparked several news headlines about why Ghana was Google’s chosen destination. Truth be told, Ghana’s contribution to the data science revolution is long overdue! The Ghana Data Science Summit 2019 will assemble some of the brightest experts driving change at the forefront of data science and machine intelligence from all over the world.

The Ghana Data Science Summit 2019 will treat its attendees to a series of lectures, panel discussions, and training sessions (tutorials) on Data Management and Business Analytics (Day 1), Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence (Day 2), and hands-on tutorials (Day 3). The best practices regarding data collection and management as well as machine intelligence will be discussed by accomplished experts with illustrations with the right technology to ensure successful analytical product delivery.

The Ghana Data Science Summit 2019 is open to all students, researchers, industry practitioners and leaders, and anyone interested in learning and applying data science in their professional lives. Prospective participants must apply and get accepted into the Ghana Data Science Summit 2019 by March 15, 2019. The Ghana Data Science Summit 2019 comes at no cost to participants by courtesy of our partners and sponsors.
