David Asem

David Asem is a dynamic computer scientist and software engineer specializing in Full Stack, Cloud Engineering, and Machine Learning. He has extensive industry experience in building high-quality software projects across numerous sectors. He is passionate about creating revolutionary tech solutions that solve critical business and societal problems for impact in Africa through cutting-edge research. He has received several scholarships, including the Google Sub-Saharan Machine Learning Scholarship in 2022 and a full Google scholarship for Google I/O‘19. He has spoken at many tech conferences, including a sideline summit at the top Google I/O conference in 2019 in California, and the Google Developer Summits in Lagos, Nigeria, and Accra, Ghana in 2018 and 2019, respectively. David established the first Google Developer Students Club (GDSC) in KNUST, with an outstanding performance that received global recognition from Google. He serves as a mentor and facilitator in Google communities, sharing his insights and leading sessions on Cloud and ML technologies. David aspires to make scholarly and notable contributions to the sub-fields of Applied ML and the Security of ML Systems at scale.
