Hi there! I’m on a mission to build and lead high-performing teams to deliver human-centered solutions that empower others to live better lives. (At the moment, this is in healthcare!)
I am an aspiring tech CEO working out my journey to greatness. I started out as a business analyst and software engineer. I am currently a product development manager learning to work with cross-functional teams to build data-driven consumer and enterprise apps. Next, I intend to begin program management while maintaining my roots in engineering.
Much of my current work involves:
- Technical product management from design to implementation and support
- Delivering results in fast-moving, agile and demanding environments
- Developing business strategy in conjunction with senior leadership
- Providing leadership and guidance on software design and architecture to engineering teams
I’ve learned that there’s a lot I don’t know but I can surmount any challenge with some really great strategies/perspectives: Customer obsession, good judgement, OWNERSHIP, a bias for action and unlocking synergy in my team.
My work experience has been in financial services and healthcare. My recent completed work was in service to the Government of Rwanda. At the Rwanda Revenue Authority, I worked with the data science team to increase tax revenue by detecting fraudulent declarations of consignments whilst minimizing the amount of manual inspections that had to be made. I am currently building and leading the product team for https://serenity.health - with guidance from senior leadership. We’re increasing access to affordable healthcare in Africa!
